Its been under threat for a long time. But its too late for you guys. :nope:

Only resolution to this issue is,

A) proof of birth
or
B) civil war

Interesting that you say those are the only options. I'd go for a court mandated requirement myself. Peaceful approaches always should be tried first.

I'm going to post before I even watch the video, because I'm sure it will piss me off somehow.

Is the U.S. Constitution under threat? Good heavens no! It's been fought, defeated, and trampled on for nearly a century now. Longer if you think the Constitution reserved any kind of real power to the states. That's like asking if Germany is going to invade France. It's already been done several times.

---------------------------------------

Ok, after watching the video, the issue of Obama's valid citizenship is important, no doubt. I don't even really pay much attention to it to be honest. The role of the Federal Government was intended to be so restricted that even if some idiot or some ill-intentioned foreigner got into office, they couldn't do much damage.
What we should probably be most concerned about is the Federal government exercising powers that it does not have.
Many people thinks that the constitution grants rights to the people. That's not true. You already have those rights. "We hold these truths to be self-evident", remember? What it does is control the ways in which the Federal Government may restrict those rights. The Constitution specifically enumerates powers to the Federal Government. The Fed may only excercise those specific powers. They even included an amendement that basically says "if we forgot anything, the Fed can't do that either", and yet the Constitution is violated every day. Block grants to states? Not constitutional. Period. Sure, it doesn't say they can't, but if it doesn't say they can, it's illegal. Federal income tax? Illegal. Property tax? Illegal. Social Security? Illegal. Coining money? Legal. Printing money? Illegal. And the list goes on and on.

What concerns me most is that issues concerning the President get so much attention. He was never suppoed to be democratically elected in the first place. He doesn't have all that much power, anyway. We're being distracted by a side-show. Bread and Circuses. Promises and policies. How many people in the U.S. know who the President is? Freaking everyone, right? How many people know who their elected Federal or State representatives are? Not a majority for sure. Don't believe me? Just go ask some co-workers or schoolmates or teachers or whatever. I'll bet more than half don't even know.

Obama's eligibility is important, certainly, but that's minor compared to the violations the Constitution suffers every day.
See? I told you it would piss me off:D

A great recap! Seems we have some issuees to fix if all you say is true.

However, a leader that violates it at the highest office as of this, scares me more than anything. Printing money? I'm not sure that violates anything. Explicitly being denied the office of president because of being a foreign national? Now you got my attention. I don't consider that minor in any form. It trumps any that you list.
