GTA meeting it's better?

I'm talking about Saint's Row 2, which seems to have grabbed the gaming world by the nuts and is viciously kicking it to the head as I write this.

Never played Saint's Row, but from the reviews, SR2 looks like a good choice to pick. Especially for anyone who doesnt have Xbox360 or PS3.

Soo, anyone played it? Is it gooood?

Heey, this is actually pretty fun game! I just picked up some poor twut carrying a "Stop the violence" sign and threw him off a cliff on to a police car's hood that happened to drive by. :rotfl: Teaches him to keep his opinions to himself. :yep:

How's the character customization? Review was bragging about it, but I like to hear the Finnish position.:D

Character customization is insane and insanely fun, but the game is allso horribly optimized for the PC. So in that it is a mixed bag.

Any by horribly I mean it is barely playable on my computer at 1024x768.

The character customization is like in Oblivion or Fallout 3. Lots of sliders to play around and customize the face, giving you basically the tools to make your character look anyone you like. You can also change the face expression your char will have (mine looks like he's always drunk), walking style, taunt gesture, compliment gesture and few other things.

And in-game, you have the usual clothes shops etc. to further customize your char.

But yes, like AKE said, it doesnt run very smoothly. I have it on medium settings with 1280x1024 and it runs OK, not great but OK.

Tee hee hee, another one I like about SR2 is the side missions. Especially the FUZZ thing where you are hired to dress up like a cop for a COPS type show; FUZZ. Anywho, the aim is to get good ratings for the FUZZ, meaning you need to use excessive force. Nothing's better than going in to arrest skaters with a sledgehammer. Or calm prostitute's fight with a chainsaw. :rotfl:

Saint's Row 2 is supposedly even worse than GTA IV when it comes to optimization. Pity I don't have a XBOX360 .:nope:

But yeah, Yahtzee's review made me lol.

Hopefully they can fix the performance issue. SR2 is really a very good game, one of those games where I dont mind having crappy graphics on low settings, the gameplay is what shines in it. :yep:

Ya so I've heard, and I do want it, but with my old computer it would probably need patching to be even playable.
