Hello fellow subsimmers, I'm new here to the forums, and I have a question for you. I've tried multiple times to take screenshots, but they never show up in the SH4 folder! I think the problem *may* be that when I installed SH4 (Gold edition), there was a folder in Program Files called "Ubi Soft", then SH4 created one called "Ubisoft". I did uninstall the other program, but my screenies still won't show up.... :damn: Was there some kind of conflict with the 2 folders? Is it a Gold Edition issue? Or are they hiding in some clever place I can't find? :hmm: Thanks in advance!
Do you get the message in-game that the picture was taken?

Go to this thread....http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=134150&highlight=screenshots
If your running Vista, Run sh4 in admin mode, the screenshots will show up in your sh4 game directory then. If you aren't running in admin mode, the sh4.exe won't have rights to create files in it's directory, so they end up in some crazy virtual folder
There's a lot of other threads on this subject and others. Check out the search function for any info you are interested in. In this case, search "screenshots" There is a wealth of information available in these forums. BTW, welcome to the forums !

Welcome :D
IŽve mentioned it on another thread and IŽll say it here as well...
Vista got this "bulletproof" protection wich means that the regular "users" cant do anything. Sometimes even not being allowed to start certain programs. The way around this is to "run as administrator" as mentioned above.
BUT! There is a way to make Vista run like XP when talking about this "Controll-freak-operating-system". Look in the controllpanel for UAC (Users Accounts Controll) and turn it off. After that, there is no need to run as administrator etc. For example, the screenshots ends up in the correct folder at once...
If you are having trouble finding the way to turn off UAC, look at these:
http://www.petri.co.il/disable_uac_in_windows_vista.htm (look at method number 4)

Good luck!
