Jeez, just what we need, another joke for a politician:D Guess he can't screw it up much worse than the "professionals".

No he didn't. Minnesota election law says that the state cannot award a certificate of election if one party contests the results.

Coleman is a child if he actually sues. He was the one screaming for Franken to Concede right after the first results and has used childish tactics to try to slow this down.

He has been swatted down time and time again in the courts. And will be again. If he decides to sue he is only delaying representation for his own gain.

It is over regardless.

Stephen Colbert is a Sunday School teacher. Al Franken has done funny stuff, but why hold it against him? Especially something so obviously not a regualr habit for him?

That is not a photoshop Zachstar, he really did pose for that picture. In any case I think you'd react quite differently if it was a republican...

Im not so sure "won" is the proper word.

More like 'claimed' through litigation.

The whole mess stinks to holy hell.

Votes counted twice because duplicates were not marked, votes thrown out because... well just because, votes challanged because they were "not clear". Absentee votes by enlisted men discounted because they were "lost" then found but too late to be counted.

The whole thing should be thrown out and voted over. The whole mess smells.

Republicans have become, as Phil Gramm might put it, a party of whiners. Some of the whining almost defies belief.

The Dems have become the election stealers they accused the Repubs of being. Mark my words. If they let Franken steal this election to this man they will come to regret it.

No I would not have. Because the show has crap like that all the time. It is called satire. It you wish to fault a candidate because they participated in satire than you need to learn to laugh. Because it has zero and I mean zero impact on the man's ability to vote yes or no.

Any idiot can vote yes or no Zachstar. The question is will the author of such scintillating titles as "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right" have any clue what he's voting for?

Obviously you won't admit this because he's your guy, but we both know that he's nothing but a partisan hack who will end up embarrassing the Democratic party, but i'm afraid not before he does his part to widen the partisan gulf that is tearing this country apart.

What a bafoon! I see the Washington state ballot counting works in MN too.:nope: Re-count til you get the desired result. repeat as needed. Oh well, you get what you vote for. Where's Wellstone when you need him. Atleast he was classy, this guy is just a chump.

I've been disappointed in democrats lately but to see repukes go nuts over Franken winning sure makes it worth supporting them another day.

They didn't when others won. Even by small margins so it must be true. Franken is a threat to them unlike the idiots that will follow Pelosi and Reid off a cliff to appease repukes. Franken can think for himself.

This WILL be interesting.

They should keep voting until a Republican wins.

The GOP has become the POW.

You know, It is interesting, in fact, amusing to watch this. Franken beating the incumbent in said state is such a painfully embarrassing reminder to the GOP of what a shambles their party has become. But of course, we'll just sit here and bad mouth the candidate who the was on SNL not long ago, worked for a liberal radio station, did some USO tours and now is going to beat out the local GOP candidate. Frankly, I understand your embarresment.

You be the judge: http://minnesota.publicradio.org/features/2008/11/19_challenged_ballots/

Do a Google search for MN Senate Ballots and research how the ballots have been split between Franken and Coleman. The results are quite interesting...

And with all these "Magical Ballots" that keep appearing, I believe a new election is in order to straighten it all out. I don't know how you can be opposed to voters deciding, instead of a partisan elections board.

George Parr, anyone?

It is more than just a 'recount' it was litigation, discounting some votes, and conting other votes twice. All cases seem to somehow favor Frankin.

A few precincts had more votes than they had voters :hmm:

If it was simply just a recount there would not be as much made of the situation.

So whos 'stealing' elections now?

Well, make it three, because Al Franken wasn't that funny as a comedian. Perhaps he'll be funnier as a politician:hmm:

What's up with Minnesota and its tendency to elect unqualified nutjobs to office, anyway?
