Real Submariners prefer SH3

As a serving member of the Royal Navy on a Trafalgar Class submarine almost all of my messmates play Silent Hunter 3 and we have all downloaded GWX 3.0 for our next deployment. The plan is for us to install it on our laptops at the beginning of our next deployment and who ever has the best career by the time we get back to Plymouth in May wins the sweepstake.
Can anyone recommend any other mods for me to run along with GWX 3.0, or any cunning little tricks found in the Gold version or any tips that may sway my chances of winning the £60 sweep?LOL

Yeah remove GWX and use stock SH3. Tonnage is far easier to come by!:rotfl: JK

Or go out with unlimted ammo and fuel each patrol can then last well over a year.

I'd say lay down a list of difficulty options to be turned on/off, that way you're all playing at the same level of realism and nobody can use the 'Well that's unfair because he had x disabled but I didn't' excuse. Perhaps the same with mods?

I don't know, just a thought, anyways. :hmm: Probably not all that valid if you've already started your careers.
