So who here has played dead space?

Ive completed it a couple of times and thought it was a great game.
Im not a Sci-fi fan and didnt think a horror game in space would be any good but luckaly i was proven wrong.

Its certainly not the scariest game ive played. There is alot of action and shooting which doesnt help the horror side of the game but is alot of fun anyway

Hey wolfehunter

Sorry i didnt see your topic. looks like you enjoyed it too
I dont have a very good computer but i could run it on medium with no slowdown.

I think the story is quite good as well. What a great twist at the end (i wont spoil anything)

Played it, not sure where I'm atm, but so far I've enjoyed it. I like it how the beginning has the 'Aliens' feel to it. And it's not Doom 3, it's something more. Love it so far.

Graphics are way out their for this one. And the sound well give my wife the willies. hehehe. :rotfl:

The only game my wife hated more was Stalker SHOC with the roaming screaming cat sound in the zone.. lol. She HATED that. By that alone I love the game even more...

Its qualities come from alot of famous movies like aliens, the thing, Even Horizon. But its new too. I hope they don't screw it up with its sequel DeadSpace 2 comming out. :hmm:

Well im not sure what they could do with a second dead space story wise. A prequel prehaps?

I thought the sound was great as well. I liked stalkers atmosphere too (the cat and dog noises really added to it ;) ) although the game went downhill when you got towards the reactor in my opinion.

Also the military suit you mentioned is unlocked after you beat the game. as long as you continue a new game on the same difficulty it will be in your shop.

No game will raise the hair on the back of your head like Thief 3 can. Bar none. One level in that game will have you quaking in your boots!

I do want to try Dead Space, but that inet activation has got me all riled up. What are the limitations on it?

I would play Dead Space, but I'm commited to finishing Fallout 3 and restarting my WoW account for another 2 months fairly soon. I'm not getting anything new for 3 months at this rate.

And even then I've got Falcon 4.0 waiting for me when I finally get a hold of an X-52.

Even I'd be lost without one of these in Falcon 4.0 AF. I've owned them for a number of years now. All 22 lbs of solid metal!

A Saitek just can't cut it comparatively.

-SYou can take care of that issue you know. Just buy the game and stuff and them play... no problems. :smug:

Every time my brother in law comes to visit he's hook onto Deadspace. He can't get enough.. Cool thing about the game is it all works no need for patches or tweaks or anything but install and play.

Only other game that gave me that kind of satisfaction recently was Prey when it came out a few years ago.

Its a nice stick for sure, but the x52 (not pro) is half the price and it doesn't need to have its pots replaced the moment you get it. The X52 is excellent bang for the buck, and you don't have to take it apart and spend more money on it when you get it.
