No, it's not the best WWII shooter, it's short.

And yes, I've played the zombie level, got to lvl 7 I think and out of boredom decided to give a manhug to one of the zombies.

What ya laughing? The Half-life 1 DoD version 3.0 (Or whatever was the last version that had US vs. German Caen instead of Brits vs. German) is still the best online game I've ever played. :rock:

Tho, the DoD: Source sucks and badly. The whole feel has gone, no big maps with hiding places, just mindless fragfest ala Counter-Crap.

That's a tough one, best WW2 shooter.

I'm tempted to go for Hidden & Dangerous, but I think fond memories are clouding that buggy but beautiful game :)

I like DoD:Source, but I never played the original. Not much of an online gamer, hopefully that will change with my recent acquisition of Il-2 1946 (Steam sale :D )

Yer missing alot with not having played the original DoD. Valve focked the game real bad.

Back when it was a freeware mod, it had the best gameplay, balance and overall feel I've experienced in any online shooter. Oh yeh, and Caen is still the best ever map I've played. I wonder if there's still ppl playing the game. :hmm: Might dust my HL and install it.

Of course COD is 'short' it is primarly intended to be a multiplayer platform.

I enjoyed COD4 the Cherynoble scenes were 'spooky'.

I have COD waw. Got it for Christmas. Does not play on my rig. I meet the specs, no problem. Get splash screen, click play..nothing. Contacted tech support. After this and that I was advised to look in my registry and change this value and that value. Screw it, game sits in the box. Looked at other forums and threads with game not launching. Apparently I'm not alone. So, at present it holds my coffee cup until my new computer arrives. If this computer does not run the game then the game enters the POS list at number one. Really, releasing games with major issues seems to be the norm now. It is just stupid.

Yes, but 5 is shooooort, even on COD standards. I think it took 2 sittings to play it thru on normal difficulty. Tho, it had some very cool scripted stuff happening which made up the shortness. :yep:

I know playing online 'solo' can be a humbling and frustrating experience. Nothing like getting pwned by a group of teenyboppers.

I lost interest in it after a few days. Too short. I understand that it's mainly designed for a multiplayer platform, as that's where the money's at these days with games, but that still doesn't excuse its brevity.

I did like the PBY gunner level. That was fun. Even though I had to overlook the fact that as far as I know, the Japanese didn't really have PT boats as portrayed in the game. :roll:

Iv played both. My favorite was version 1.0.1 Beta...(the old one)

Aye, I think I played it fro mthe beginning too. I remember the Omaha map and the M1 Garand that was 1 shot kill and VERY accurate. It then was converted to the K98k, and Garand being slightly less accurate. DoD:S's Garand is just stupid, at this it needs 3 hits to kill. :nope:

The PBY mission in CoD5 is a real blast if you ask me. It's a real treat to see the scripted views of the plane, and the music has an interesting tune in this mission.

Btw the help room is the easyist to defend as it has only the door, two windows and a tunnel. If you open the upstairs room you will die!!! Also what are your usernames for multiplayer and co-op? Seriously, I bought COD 5 for the Wii, and the Wii Zapper.

COD 5 is sitting on the shelf, Link's Crossbow Training is getting all the action. Seriously, for 25$ or so, that game ROCKS.

The Wii is not an FPS platform, as far as I'm concerned.

I live on Long Island so I do not go to the city much. But its okay, too cold in winter.
I never feel in love with NY, I always loved my home country of Portugal, and I love Sweden and Germany.

The steak house? I have never been there, but if you give me 2mins, I will ask my dad(he knows every restaurant in NYC)
How is Sweden in the summer? my friends and I are planning a Euro Trip and Sweden is the 2nd highest rated country on the list!(Lets just say I had a GREAT time! lol )

EDIT: My dad says Peter Lugers is a great restaurant, good food and nice atmosphere. But, depending on where your staying, the best steak house in NYC is Del Frisco's. (You can not go wrong there)
