does anyone know how to change the zoom rate in the nav map

Look into:

SilentHunterIII\data\Menu\cfg\Maps.cfg

At the bottom there are 2 sections, one for the navmap and attack map, with a line starting with "ZoomLevels=". Those are the scale-steps in which the maps changes zoom.

Don't you run the risk of adding instability by altering the zoom capabilities on the Nav map?

Twofold reason for asking:

1) I'm not familiar enough with the zoom config to say if it should/could be altered, and
2) In other games, altering the zoom capability has led to CTD's and instability issues.

In other words, Caveat Emptor
