Ok, the new version was released almost a week ago but damn :o this simulator has improved drastically over the last year.
It won't go head to head with Microsoft Flight Simulator or X-plane mostly because of scenery detail, but the flight model is nothing bad.
The use of point sprites makes the airport lighting very realistic (more than what you get in MSFS for instance) and the performance is excellent. And by that I mean you're in a virtual cockpit looking at the instruments changing very smoothly (60+ fps, this kind of performance is unheard of in MSFS).
It changes from 10-20 fps of MSFS :rotfl:
The 777-200ER for being an opensource model is great
Every flight enthusiast should give it a try.
