Kewl we caught em before they did anything. :ping:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081222/ap_on_re_us/fort_dix_plot

"Five Muslim immigrants accused of scheming to massacre U.S. soldiers at Fort Dix were convicted of conspiracy Monday in a case that tested the FBI's post-Sept. 11 strategy of infiltrating and breaking up terrorist plots in their earliest stages. The men could get life in prison when they are sentenced in April."

If your legal system is anything like ours, they won't. They'l be out in 15 years.

This smells like the "liberty seven" incident. The feds buddy up to some wahoos and eventually coax them into saying "hey lets kill some Ameeerikans." on a recording. Then the feds in question try to use the silly case to advance their paltry careers before the thing ever sees trial.

If the feds didn't get involved with these clowns they would still be in the backyard peacefully shooting their guns and talking smack about things they will never do. No different than some rednecks shooting cans or rats pretending they are the "turrists".

Of course I will get flamed for this and called a bunch of names. I am supposed to be thanking the feds for "keeping me safe" when in fact all they are doing is keeping their jobs safe.

I doubt this will make it thru appeals. These cases never do.

I often wonder what it will take for people to realise that no, not everything is some sort of conspiracy and yes, there really are people wanting to kill you out in the big wide world.

I thought, will they believe it if a dirty bomb goes off in a city? No, its a setup.

I thought, will they believe it if there is a massacre by gunman/men in the streets? No, they knew about it and failed to stop it for their own agenda.

I thought, will they believe it if offered evidence proving beyond reasonable doubt that this was the intent, and are convicted by a jury whose members were approved by both prosecution and defence? No, its rigged.

Then I just gave up.

People will alway think conspiracy for everything.

They don't want to accept that nobody controls the world; that would make it chaotic and frightening. People need to believe that someone's in control.

For some people, it's God; for other people it's the Illuminati.

That's my theory, anyway.

From the original article:

The yearlong investigation began after a clerk at a Circuit City store told the FBI that some customers had asked him to transfer onto DVD some video footage of them firing assault weapons and screaming about jihad.
I suppose the Circuit City clerk was in on the conspiracy, too, eh, Mr. WhateverYourNameIsToday?

"I don't think they actually mean to do anything," said Mohamed Younes, president of the American Muslim Union. "I think they were acting stupid, like they thought the whole thing was a joke."
Ah, excellent defense, too:rotfl:I bet that's part of the conspiracy. The government paid him to say that so that we would all get worked up over the conspiracy while the government conspires to something even worse while we're not looking.

Better get out an extra layer of tin-foil to protect yourself.

I notice no one here wants to talk about the Liberty Seven incident. No surprise. I never used the word conspiracy. A conspiracy is by definition an illegal aggrement.

I never said they weren't guilty per se, however the common denominator in these cases is the federal agents. They have been caught doing this time and again. They infiltrate some little nothing group of fools dumb enough to befriend some federal agent, they whip them up into a frenzy by coaching the hell out of them and holding their hands. Then when they finally get them to do something stupid like agree to buy some AK's, out come the handcuffs and a weak case.

Ask yourself this. What kind of hardcore terrorists infiltrates the country but doesn't even have enough support to get some AK's smuggled over the border? Why do such "real terrorists" have to try and buy guns locally. An Arab wanting to buy some guns, gee even the FBI would notice that. Sorry but these "terrorists" were about as dangerous as drunk fratboys talking about knocking over a casino.

Thank you for backing me up there DT. I didn't actually have to read the article, I didn't have to. I'm that good. I bet the curcuit city guy would not have called the feds if some rednecks were wanting a tape transfered of them shooting guns screaming "hell yeah, die turrist scum!"

You have to look at the feds track record here. Remember the Ruby Ridge incident? The feds at that time decided the militias were the terrorists. They went out there and crammed weak cases down people throats where there were none. Look what happened to Randy Weaver over the feds modus operandi.

How about Waco? How many children went up in flames thanks to the feds?

What about the feds behavior in the 1960s? Wreaking havoc and blaming it on the "hippie activists". Hell with the federal government turned loose on America we don't even need terrorists.

I guess I should not complain, in the old days they would have shot up some poeple and framed the "turrists". Things are kinder and gentler, now they just entrape morons.

I never said everything was a conspiracy. That is as silly as saying everything is not a conspiracy.

If a dirty bomb goes off in a city there better not be a "military exercise" going on at that exact same time and place simulating a dirty bomb. There were military exercising simulating 9-11 when it happend, and Britian's 7-7 when it happened.

I'm not in the mood to get into another 40 page argument over purple unicorns, little green men, gold at the end of a rainbow, killer acid rain, good rap "music", the moon landing on a soundstage, etc. My Packers lost, what can I say... :damn:

In any case...

Usually I find the truth to be in the middle. Sure, there are some over-zealous federal agents. Most, on the other hand, are squeaky clean.

That's why we have a judiciary.

Sure, some things can slip through the cracks. However, there's nothing more "moonbat" than confusing the exception with the rule.

As far as a grand conspiracy to bring down the Twin Towers goes ... well, I've got a nice, fertile piece of desert land to give away ... just need your bank account number.

You didn't have to as your whole response presumed the thing was a setup.

You even said you didn't need to read the article, therefore you are assuming that the conviction was unsound as it was the FBI who busted a bunch of islamic guys who were reported to be acting suspiciously. Also I'd hardly call the 5 a bunch of Yahoos.

Also the exercise being run on 7/7 in the UK wasn't a government/military exercise it was a private security consultancy.

Now sure in the past there have been miscarriages of justice with the feds screwing up but that doesn't mean everytime it is without merit that they arrest someone.

I also don't think you can hold Waco up there. The situation was badly handled yes, but they weren't without good cause for going in. They just underestimated the nutcases.

As for Ruby Ridge, I'll give you that one.

7-7, yeah yeah, just a security exercise, nothing to see here citizen, move along now. I know when I am dead and burried they will write the history books and the government official story will live on. That doesn't mean I can't call foul while I'm here. Not that it will do any good, but at least I can be honest with myself. I'm sure there were "conspiracy theorists" that thought the Reichstag was burned down by the Nazi's and blamed on the communists at the time. It is called a conspiracy "theory", we don't know, all we do know is the government lies about anything and everything, so why should we believe the word of a known liar? The thing with Waco was that it just shows how the feds like to go all out for that career promoting photo op high profile stuff. They could of just arrested David Koresh when he went for a jog. Oh no, they wanted to put on the k-pot, body armor whip out the MP5s that haven't been fired off the range and cowboy it up. That looks at lot sexier for the papers doesn't it. Until you get your ass kicked, which they did. I guess the saying "to the man with a hammer every problem looks like a nail" applies to the federal agent method of problem solving.

subchaser12
12-23-08, 01:38 PM
Why do you call the Waco people nutcases? David Koresh told them the government was going to come kill them and their children. The government came and did just that proving David Koresh right. That doesn't sound so nutty does it?Seventy-six people died in the fire, including 21 children and two pregnant women.

Well of course I do. Let's look at the death and destruction wreaked on the masses by governments throughout the ages. Who do you think killed everyone from Jesus to the Iraqis and everything else before and after. Governments. Sure, "terrorists" have killed people, there is no denying it, but until terrorists starte raking up the body count as high as governments I am not going to see them as the biggest danger. How many millions upon millions died in World War 1 and 2? Now have many millions have died at the hands of terrorists? Hundreds? The biggest, best and most well respected countries at this writing have killed more people than the terrorists. Look at 9-11 and 7-7. Ok, let's say the terrorists did it. Now look at all the people who have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Yeah those 3,000 dead really justify at least twice that as many dead and ten times that in injuries, and that is just on the American side. Of course everyone will say it's for a "good cause", and we have no choice, but I see it as government killing people as usual. They always say the bodies piled high is for a "good cause". The terrorists use the same rhetoric, but someone it's different when my country does it? Evil is evil. Dead is dead. The only difference between me and you guys is this. You all think that if push comes to shove the big nice government will be nice to you because you have been good little nationalists and always did what you were told. If you look at history you would see the "just do what they say honey" crowd are the first ones put on the trains. The rebels are too much hassle....

Oh here comes the big brother apologist. 19 years? You probably got the boot since you could have retired at 20 or in a few more years, yet you still shine their shoes after they finishing making you there biitch for almost 2 decades. Wake up man, I did. You prove my point, you were in military intelligence for almost 2 decades and you are about as clueless as they come. You are nothing but a right wing cheerleader. Tell me this, have you ever had on original thought in your head? 19 years in eh? Tell me, where would you have ended up if you didn't have the government telling you what to do, what to wear, what to say, when to wake up, what kind of haircut to get. I see why people like you love the military so much, without big uncle sam holding you hand and telling you what to do you would be working at McDonalds.

That still makes my day knowing you of all people were in intel. How perfect is that. hahaha

I might afterall have to recant my opinon that Bush lied, I have been out of the military for well over a decade and I just forgot how stupid you all are. Now that the idiocy that is the military is all comming back to me (I tried to forget) I now see that Bush probably didn't have to look too hard over at the pentagon to some some pasty kids who would say "yes sir Mr. President sir, them Ragheads are makin nukes, it's an honor sir!, this is the best day of my life sir!" Oh look at Aramike yelling "back emergency" on the ignore list. I read you like a cheap novel.

So you don't want to talk about your military career? You made a huge mistake giving me the 19 year number as you puffed your chest out. A huge mistake. Imagine, a military intelligence man making a mistake. he he. Aramike you bring me such joy. See that is such a fascinating number, 19 years. See because you could be getting retirement at 50% at 20 years. So there is no way you got discharged by your own free will that close to retirement. Anyone who could do 19 years could stick out another 365 or less days on their head. Something is amiss and since you don't want to talk about it, well, there it is. I wonder what it was. Flunked the PT test 10 years running? Violation of don't ask don't tell? Article 15s? General Court Martial? Maybe a little summary courtmartial. More than likely you just couldn't make promotion.

I knew many people in the brig. I knew a guy who was in navy intel for 30 years down to the guy right out of basic. The military is a funny thing, it's like a snake. You can care for it and love it and it will turn on you and bite you in a flash. One fight with the wife's boyfriend, one DUI, one little slip up and the military you served so passionately drops you like a hot rock. Don't worry, it happens.

If you were as smart as you claim to be you would have said "almost 2 decades" instead of showing me you got riffed at 19. I would have been none the wiser.

Ladies and gentleman, Military Intelligence at it's finest, let's give them a round of applause.

Still thumping your chest, subchaser? I made a mistake by mentioning my 19 years in the military? LOL!!! You're not even smart enough to back up your own arguments. You certainly don't "scare" me. I've faced-off with bigger, better, and smarter.

Keep it coming ... its fun to imagine the veins in your neck popping out as you hammer out one long baseless rant after another, only to get disproven time and time again. It takes great talent to be such a hack.

You're a laughingstock. You're just not smart enough to know it.

Oh, and like I said, I'm more than willing to tell anyone anything about my military career (that I legally can, anyway). Just not going to answer you. So, if anyone (except subchaser12) is actually interested why I only did 19 years in, please ask.

Oh, and one more thing:Aramike, you should have at least learned not to start fights with grunts or sailors in your 19 year career if anything. If you consider any of this a "fight" its pretty clear you've never been in a real one. Bullies take too much of your milk money?

Are you for real? Man, this keeps getting better and better! Whatever you say there secret agent orange.

So this is what you do in between training for super secret missions, flame liberals and play submarine simulators?

Wow, this is awesome! I have known people who did interesting things that were secret in the military. Trust me they aren't on video game forums going "wink wink, nod nod, yeah man my whole existence is classified". Only me, the president, the queen and this video game forum know the true nature of my highly classified missions.

HA HA HA :rotfl:Didn't say any of that. I said I would be open to answering any questions about my service.

As far as what is legally allowed, even a Specialist in the Army knows not to divulge certain things (such as weapon system capabilities).

Funny how you feel the need to make things up... Can't handle the heat, little man? I say "heat" because this is probably the close you've ever come to any...

Secret agent man!!!!!!
Secret agent man!!!!!!!
Chances are he won't live to see tommorrow.....

Chorus..

Secret agent man!
Secret agent man!

It's cute you think you are the first person to try and do the "wink nod" to allude that they did some super secret cool stuff in the service. How original there PX Ranger.

Heat? Oh now you are alluding to having been in combat. What's next, you going to say you have a medal of honor, given in secret of course by the president. No one can ever know about your mission.

Still making stuff up. Wow you are incredibly weak. If the best you've got is something out of 5th grade, well ...

Not good at reading either, are you? Little man still can't handle the heat. Desperate?

I just won't answer YOU. I just find that hilarious how that pisses you off so much...

Anyone else, sure! Want a career bio? Just ask! Anyone, except for subchaser12.

I'll probably have to tell you all this again, subchaser12, but it's fun to watch you go ballistic with your silly little baseless retorts.

Dance, puppet.

PS: I suppose I hit Reply with Quote just after the chaserman edited his post. Either way, point still stands. Originally he asked me yet again if I wanted to "come clean" with my military record.

I hate to be rude and point this out, but no one else gives a crap. Take a look around you, it's me you and the crickets.

And by all rights it should be you speaking to yourself and the crickets. What I find hilarious is a guy with a bad conduct discharge challenging anothers service. If what you've been doing for the past few pages (well, really since before you got banned the first time) just conversation, I can understand why you don't have anything better to do than agitate others (no, you don't have to start a thread to be an agitator).

Why even bother to post the same thing you say everytime you post DT? It's the same thing from you.
