... your driving down a rural stretch of road and you pass this thing up.

I would call my old man up and say "pops.... bring your truck and trailer!"

There is a second one! I stumbled upon this picture last week but didn't find the time to do some research...

I don't know how my wife would take it when a sub appeared in our backyard! It's almost up there with what happened a few years ago when the navy was keeping the last oberon subs operational.
They needed a replacement part for one of the last subs still in service, but they weren't been made anymore. They relized one sub that had been cut apart at the waterline and used as a memorial in the town of Holbrook in NSW still had the part required attacked to the sub! So in the middle of the night they came down to the town with a salvage team and took the part they needed!:yep:

I don't think the locals were impressed!

If you guys read the text. :rotfl:

you would know what it is.

It is a relic left over from the film U-571

I believe it fell off a trailer in transit, and the bow broke off. it was left on the side of the road and was to be picked up later, but somehow it was forgotten there for SIX years!

finders keepers:rock:

Well - I did some research and found the snowy U-Boot near Masserberg in Thuringia/Germany.
A nice lady told me it has been built for a carnival procession.

At least it shows the Laughing Sawfish.
