What the hell? Its 1550 hrs and my sound man detects a medium moving ship heading toward me. I come up to periscope depth and find that ..................

its dark as hell and the stars are all out!!

So I carried on - and its now 0150 hrs and the sun is crackin' my foredeck!!!

I was having a successful time of operating out of Fremantle and was offered a new sub, Gato. Oooooh yes please. Only to find I am now operating out of Pearl. Where do they send me on my first mission, all the bloody way to the Makassar Strait, half a world away? I was there last mission from Fremantle!

Now, assuming RSRD is historically correct, did subs cross patrol lines like this often? I would assume that missions to Empire waters, mainland Japan would have been better for Pearl based subs bearing in mind distances.

In reality the poor sub would not have had enough fuel to return home, surely?

Aplogies if this has all been said before, it probably has, but a search failed to reveal.

Finally rank structure on top of my avatar. I have been a frogman before, then was something in japanese, now I am a frogman again ????

Whenever a new base is assigned the game will give you your next patrol objective based on the previous location.

As far as your time in game time being off...that has been discussed at length. It has happened to me. Sometimes it is caused by changes you make when your boat is not in port--add ons, mods, etc. Always try to be in port when you change something. It also may sometimes be caused by alt-tabbing out of the game. That has been known to cause several problems for different folks. To fix the time problem just save, exit to Main Menu and re-enter game.

Well I dont know what is going on but SH4 RSRD has completely packed up now, nothing will load ...........................

Thats odd. I hate to say this, but the safest thing to do is a complete uninstall (make sure you go in an actually delete the ubi/Sh4 folder). When you reinstall, I always recommend a restart before patching and after the 1.4 (or 1.5 u-boat install).

If you have any other problems post here and someone will help you out I'm sure. Good Hunting.
