Ive personally spent over an hour on a meal, but it wasent at a fried chicken joint.

Yep in the UK even at teh supermarket you can busted for parking too long even if you are doing your shopping. And the best bit. These parking contractors have access to your DVLA (UK car licensing authority) information and there is jack you can do about it.
As for an hour and a half to eat a chicken bucket!!! WTF must have been huge, I could knock a KFC back in 20....

Welcome to the world of extortionate parking charges.
We have private companies who can clamp your car and charge the earth, unless you live in Scotland where clamping is illegal as it is considered extortion, go figure.
