So I've gotten used to the miserable Mk 10 torpedoes the S class were burdened with. 25 thousand tons of tankers in one patrol will do that. I'm really starting to like RFB.
Here's something that felt kinda creepy... May 6, 194. The last signal from Corregidor was kinda chilling.
Anyone else have any moments that just sort of stopped you for a moment ?

:rotfl: Those MK14's have caused me to lose my religion on more than one occasion. They are clearly the most frustrating thing in SH4 for me.

At least the XIV has some range, the MK X tops out at 3500 yards. I've taken to just ignoring convoy and task force sightings since I'd have to shoot from inside the screen. Well, maybe at night.

Wait till you fire 6 tubes worth of Mk14's and all of them either go beneath the keels to low to detonate, or better yet just doink off the hulls :rotfl:
My best record so far has been 8 duds in a row.

Ah convoys. I'd forgotten one thing, IJN ASW tactics in 1942 sucked. 3,500 yards IS enough range to get safe shots at escorted transports. After years of playing tag with Royal Navy escorts in SH3 this hardly seems sporting, not that I'm complaining, S-boats are slow enough to make it anyhting a challenge
