of ever finding the XP, i go into EB on a whim. so, i'm about to leave when i take one last look at the bottom rack of a very pitiful collection of true games, being of the PC variety, and i get a ping off the Gold Edition. but it also sux cuz now i gotta uninstall a career where a sank 6 freighters, and damaging 2 destroyers, from a single convoy on the surface with my deck gun in a storm. wasn't a bad haul at all:ping:

Why not save the save game files and add gold and then just put the save game back in ? I'm not sure actually what the change from your version to gold is but hey I would at least try it.

the saves were patched 1.4, gold is 1.5. i doubt they'ld be compatible

"In base" saves should be fine.

The in-base saves WILL be fine. I continued my career without incident, even with mod changes when updating to 1.5.

I've played SH3 since its release almost four years ago. I've dumped careers and started new ones so many times I can't count them, and never got past mid-1940 before I did it all over again. Now that the 'last great thing' for SH3 is nearing release I'm finally going to get to play it for real.

I still can't play SH4, but I'm kind of glad, since I'd be going through all the same frustrations again.

You have my deepest sympathies.:sunny:
