Guess what? The Tommies can do it too. I was sailing out of St-Nazaire and about 15 km from port I was jumped by a task force of elco torpedo boats. Immediately I send a contact report and hope that the Luftwaffe will do something about it. I'm on the surface and they're pretty far but they're already shooting at me. I man the gun and start returning their shots. Sunk one, crippled another. They're getting in range to fire more accurately now so I dive to PD (because that's all you have 15k's from St-Nazaire..).

Up scope, take a look around. They're circling my position. Lots of searchlights, counted 13. I don't care much for the torpedo boats, I know they can't really harm me. I'm looking for a DD and don't find one. Down scope. I order the speed back down to slow, go to the hydrophones and man the station myself to get a clearer picture of the situation. A few minutes pass as I plot my escape and begin to maneuver away from the pack. And suddenly... Ping. Ping. Ping. Ping-ping. Someone just got a solid return off of me. Up scope, and sure enough there is a DD coming up straight in my baffles. Still about 800m out. Ahead flank, hard to starboard... But he's moving too fast for my boat to have any chance to get out of the way. Destroyer in attack run! I watched helplessly through the periscope as he lined up almost perfectly on top of me. Wasserbomben!

The damage isn't too bad. I can still fight. Back emergency. Up scope. I try to line up a broadside shot as he circles around. All four bow tubes, spread at 10 degrees. But the damned TIII's are too slow for this sort of knife fight and he briskly accelerates out of the way. Didn't have time to take shots of that. So now I'm thinking hey, I'm toast. I might as well have a funny ending. Still at back emergency, the DD has finished circling and is now perfectly lined up with my empty bow tubes. RAMMING SPEED! NEW DEPTH 10 METERS! Making final adjustments... We're now on a head on collision course with the DD. Range decreasing rapidly... 300... 200... 100...
And the grand finale : Crash To Desktop. :damn:
