Hi fellow subsimers,
I recently installed SH4 and the patch (1.04? found here).
Although the gameplay works quite well, one issue is disturbing:
The crew voices are choppy and are stuttering. This seems more prevailent when they are shouting numbers (bearings and depths). Even stranger... it sounds often as though two crew members are involved. Example: When crossing depth 140, the callout sounds like " //4" from one guy and then "zero" from sombody else. The "1" is too late and difficult to hear. (// = chop). Engine telegraph callouts are usually ok.
I'm using an old sound card (Terratec I think), but have not experienced this problem with SH3 or other games.
Maybe someone out there has an answer or some suggesions.
Good hunting,
