Photo Harbor

Could somebody please tell me how to photogragh a harbor once I infiltrate it? I've had scenarios that include this several times, and yet (call me stupid), I can't figure out how to take the photos. Thanks Guys!!

Did you run a search before you asked? Ah well no matter. On your periscope tab there should be a camera button, once you infiltrate the target area, lock your scope onto it and press that button. Should take a shot for you.

Others have had more experience with this than I though so I'll defer to others to explain it in more detail.:rotfl:

yup, unless you are running RFB, lock on tyhe ships in the harbor and start snappin.

Be aware the camera button will not light up or allow to take a pic until you are within a certain range.

Also, be aware that you must lock onto the ship. However, not all photo targets light up the camera function. You might lock on a ship and nothing lights. Look for another one and lock on it. Same thing. Finally, you will find the target that will light up the Icon and then snap the picture. The picture will be saved on your clipboard and you can view it before leaving the harbor. I have found that you can snap multiple photos if you want to. :up: Old_tex

Cool info Tex, I have not had a recon mission in along time, not since 1.5, the clipboard feature must have been an addition within 1.5, because I have done some recons before, but never saw that. Another example as to why you should fork out $10.00 for the add-on, even if you don't desire to play the u-boats.

I had to complete a recon mission today.

Infiltrate a harbor on the East side of Formosa.

Strange, there were about 7 ships in the harbor, and 1 tugboat sitting outside the harbor.

Raised my periscope, locked onto 2 ships took some quick pics, and it wouldn't let me photo any more.

Anyhow, the harbor was infiltrated, intelligence was gathered, I got out, not detected, no damage, no crewmen lost, it was a good mission.
