When deputies approached Russ during the Saturday funeral, he "went wild" and spat on the officers, said New Hanover County sheriff's chief deputy Ed McMahon.

That might have had something to do with it.

A drug deal at a funeral? That's a hell of an assumption to make.:hmm:

If the man agreed to surrender after the funeral, the officers should've followed the procession to the cemetary and arrested him there. No need to add to the emotions of that day.:nope:
