 More PETA weirdness... Is it any wonder no one in their right mind takes these people seriously? :rotfl:

PETA and Thanksgiving. I wonder did anyone expect any differently?

PETA sucks but I can't totally dismiss them because of the work they do to expose abuse in the industry. Such as the recent pig farm case.

I do not want to be eating abused animals

#1 It is morally wrong

#2 God knows what ends up in the food when the animal is under stress half the time.

Admittedly, some of the practices in the food industry are a bit diabolical.

Fun little game, I think it's funny how they made the turkey all gross and nasty lookin, while the tofu looked good.

I don't like some of the ways PETA goes around doing stuff, but I also agree about the misfortune some of these animals go through.

Having dispatched a few turkeys, chickens and pheasants in my lifetime, I'd like to offer the following points:

1. Turkeys and fowls are normally "beheaded" with a sharp bladed tool. Smaller birds have their necks snapped first, which is about as painless a death as I can imagine. Sound inhumane? Well, perhaps we should kill them via lethal injection, electrocution or gas.
2. Turkeys and fowls are eviscerated *before* being plucked. It's quite easy to open the bird up and give it a good "shake" over a plastic bag to remove the innards. Yes, it's a bit messy but nothing like the "Frankenstonian" depiction shown in the game.
3. Turkeys and fowls are usually placed in boiling water for a short while *before* the feathers are removed.

So, once again, we see the rather uniformed kind of crap that PETA considers "truth"...

nowadays the evil has reached such point that when you fight the evil you have to adopt an extreme behaviour . That's why Jesus gave its life and that's why PETA claims to be vegetarian they obviuosly know that never eating a gramme of meat can't be good but they can't do anything else . I just want to say something when you're a monkey mother that one comes smiling taking your baby from your arms inject a death substance in him then put it back in your arms still smiling you have only one chance to see somebody open your cage and save you it's called PETA . More and more scientists say that we humans are primates . PETA isn't perfect and will never be , thanks Lord

What's the matter, don't want to link the recent PETA video of the whitetrash in West Virginia abusing your dinner.

I want to give thanks on behalf of all food animals that humans kill them before they eat them, which is generally alot better than what they get in nature. Amen:D

And, I might add, is a whole lot easier than trying to eat them without killing them first. Amen. ;)

PETA is a bunch of nutcases who wouldn't know the truth if it was speeled out in their tofu! Their action against the Australian sheep industry over mulesing. The industry has been looking for many years at alteratives to this (long before PETA took an intrest!) and has been trialing different solutions to it.

OK do you know other organisations which do what PETA does for the sensibilisation of the better animals condition . Did you ever see a video of animals in laboratories . Even a UK judge , juges that are by definition pragmatic , said after been watching a video of a monkey in a laboratory , said "i must admit what i saw was highly disturbing" . I don't say PETA's perfect but there isn't other alternatives right now . when they manage to make a guy condemned by a tribunal cause he was organizing dogs fights in its ranch i'm sorry but i applaud myself

My daughter saw me playing this game and said,"Oh that! I play it all the time."

Kinda backfired there I think.

California is a breeding ground for this stuff. Yesterday I went to work in the City (San Fransicko). I arrived at the hospital to only be met by a Nurses strike picket line and idiots walking around still bantering about proposition 8. Extra security is hired during strikes so it took me an hour to park and have my tool box searched by some some nitwit making 8 buck an hour attempting to ask me about my test equipment. I graciously told him he would need to have an IQ over 90 in order understand it so either let me do my job or I would simply leave and charge the hospital anyway and I would be sure to reference his name on the bill...

Well i finally was able to access the heart lung machine and began work. At lunch i went to the cafeteria and stood behind a lady who was ordering a vegetarian burrito. I told her that, that sounded good but i ordered the chicken burrito and then I heard the pitch of how inhumane it is to eat animals.... God! Does it ever stop? After hearing this harpy banter all the way to the cashier she then walked to my table and gave me a friggin PETA brochure and told me i needed to get educated...She was not a bad looking dame, so I decided to tell her that i would like her to educate me, maybe take in a movie first. She paused for a second and asked what movie...I told that Soylent green was my favorite movie and that I have an affinity for eating people as well as animals. She rambled about me being a sick bastard and strode off in a huff...Oh well, this is life here in the land of fruit and nuts and my doctor wonders why i have high blood pressure:D

They can throw some on mine. Couldn't taste any worse than my ex-wifes gravy.

The PETA people are going to love this:

Palin spares 1 turkey, others not so lucky
http://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2008/11/21/Palin_spares_1_turkey_others_not_so_lucky/UPI-30011227291620/

while Palin was on camera for an interview, a man working on the farm could be seen leading another bird to slaughter in the background.
If you watch the video on this page, you'll see a guy in the background flopping a huge dead bird around.

I like Dennis Leary's standup show he did called No Cure for Cancer.

He does a good bit on the "pita" types.

But at least PITA has dual meanings. I think "pain-in-the-a**censored** is more accurate.

Oh yeah, for Thanksgiving, me and the pooch, are gonna have lots of meat! Red raw meat! Then when the bird is done roasting in the oven, we'll gorge on turkey until we're stuffed.

But their little game is a little off base. For plucking fowl, from chickens to geese and duck, I have yet to see loads of blood. Most of the blood is lost after the axe is used to behead them. Not done while live, as it's too messy. Wring the neck, or break it, and let the carcass flop around in a pen until the reflexing muscles quit, then you can dress them out.
