Had a freighter perfectly lined up

On my first patrol, I had a freighter perfect 90 degrees. I heard him them saw him. I went to periscope deapth. My sub the Grayback was going NW, the freighter north realitive. Then it happened...I lost power in the house.:damn: :damn:

I was not a happy camper. I could not save it since I was underwater and had the enemy nearby. I should have saved it when I was surfaced.

A cold front came through w/ the wind blowing around 40plus an hour.

You should have called the electric company and complained about their poor damage control! Tough break really.

Reminds me of a USCG cutter during WW2 that lost power whenever it would drop a depth charge. The blast would trip the breakers. They finally had to put wooden wedges in to hold them in place.

Never have lost power during gameplay but once every blue moon my game just "stops working". Hasn't happened in awhile though (fingers crossed).

Too bad. I save all the time under H2O with badmen near by- never had a problem...yet.

Invest in a battery backup (UPS) for your computer. Theyll come in handy for times like those.

Have no regard for that old SH3 problem with save games. I routinely save submerged while under depth charge attack or while setting up an attack on a target. Hundreds of saves and not one problem with any save in any situation. SH4 is just great!

If you have a problem, I'll bet you have 1 gig of RAM or less. Punch it up to two and forget all about save problems.

RR, I have 4gigs of RAM on my syst. And I will know next time that there is not a problem as w/ SH3, Danke.
