That was yesterday for us in Australia. Called Rememberance Day which is overshadowed by our Anzac day.
Anyway my thanks to the men and women who gave their life so that we may enjoy peace.

Salute to them....one and all.
They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.

I don't care what its called - thank you to all who have served to protect their homes, families and country. To all those currently serving - we also say thank you for the sacrifices you make now. God bless you all.

Yes: a salute to you, whoever you are, wherever you come from, whichever nation or cause you serve or have served: we will remember you, and we will honor your sacrifices.
Thank you.

Let us never forget, before the Greatest generation, there was one even more determined and brave who stood up against tyranny.

Day late to posting in the thread for VD, but who cares. Anyway, here's a good video on World War I (it's for Memorial Day, but... who cares).
