Hi, it has been a little while since i checked this forum.

Yesterdag I was checking a tutorial about manual targeting and i noticed that he could see the ship at his attack map, and the ships heading and the torpedo collision course with the ship.

If i look at mine, i only can see a dot that represents my sub, a dotted line that represents the torpedo collision course and i cannot see the target on my attack map if i'm not zooming out enough. And when I do then I only see a square that represents the target

I have to say that i'm using 1.5 version

Here is a pic of how it looked on that tutorial:

Here is my navigation map:

And thats my attack map:

Do anybody know how i could get it like seen on the first pic?
Maybe I deleted some files in the library , idk but anybody know what might be wrong? Or is this normal for 1.5 ?

Thanks in advance :D

From the looks of your buttons there it appears that you have more than 1.5 installed.

It may have been modded.

That mod for the buttons is the MyMenu mod. I don't think that could cause it. Any help is welcome though :-?

Looks like you're running RFB, the only mod that removes contacts when you stand too close to the plotting table. There originally was supposed to be a good reason for that but it was never pursued and the "feature" remains. You can load up TMOplot or EZplot to make the plotting system act like TMO or stock game. Looks to me like you've adapted well to the nav map. There is no adapting to the RFB attack map in my opinion. That is why it is so difficult to access in RFB. The authors saw no use for it.

Are they mods or do you have to replace the files with those in the RFB mod? And wich one do you prefer?

Thanks for answering that question though. ;)

TMOplot (http://static1.filefront.com/ffv6/graphics/b_download_still.gif) is a mod by Orion2012 that makes the RFB or any other game configuration have the plotting system of TMO. The contacts are dots without color and without velocity vectors. They don't have text that identifies them unless you have identified the unit in the TDC. The attack screen can still be used to check your solution against the plot. In RFB you can't do that. The attack screen in RFB is totally useless because the authors didn't understand what the attack screen is for.

EZplot (http://hosted.filefront.com/Nunya61) by nunya restores the stock plotting system with ship silhouettes, friend/foe/neutral colors, velocity vectors and ID text. If you love to play RFB and want to learn manual targeting, this is the one to load up to give you maximum help and get you started right!

Both can be installed with JSGME with any mod configuration and won't mess anything up but the plotting systems.
