Maybe but the fact is PA was the lynchpin that could have enabled an upset.
It is like taking the safety off. There is no way McCain can effectively launch now.
To win at this point requires him to win both FL and OH and get upsets of epic proportions in the west.
Possible? Yes but extremely unlikely.

I'm almost certain that he'll take Illinois and Ohio. Flordia might lean to McCain, but without Ohio... he's got problems.

All the networks now confirm Obama victory in PA.
Obama is up over 100k in FL with not too many counties left to count and with INSANE turnout.
Ohio will likely seal it because it has a chance to be called early. Otherwise FL will seal it!

torture? Like it or not, condone it or not, i have little doubt that it has been used by every single administration at least since the war. very little doubt.
I might be a little bit off, but didnt congress need to pass the war before it was launched?
war being the answer? well, yes, when its waged against you. isnt it? better to fight back than to just keep taking the punches, sooner or later a knockout blow will get landed. (as for Iraq, i doubt we'll ever know the full truth, we may not want to know, or we may crack the poops at him for it. World is better off without hussein though, hopefully not many would argue that)
with or against "us" - a basic, overarching comment the kind of which people make each day. I've always taken it to mean that you either condoned terror or condemned it.
Muslim americans terrorised - yes, true, no doubt it happened, it certainly happened down here too! what about the number of people terrorised (and need i say killed) by muslim whackjobs though?
as for the last one, well its true - if you've done nothing wrong what have you to fear? If you've done something wrong, then yes, worry. I don't reallly see what your point is with this one. be it a cheating spouse or a leader lying to the international community, its a common sense statement.

my top 4 predictions for 2009.
1. Record layoffs as big businesses cannot afford to employee great numbers of people due to the record taxation rates.
2. The United States Military under orders ... will surrender to terrorism abroad, and her troops will be ordered home with their tails tucked between their legs and heads hung low.

I REALLY hope Obama is the Christ Like Messiah that the media has made him out to be.
However, since he is a democrat with a plan to screw anyone who works for a living in order to support those people who want to sit around and get "crunk" all day... its hard for me to be hopeful... especially when im on the eve of opening my own business.

Problem is GR, in 8 years when people start waking up and thinking "oh, sh!t, whoops!" then you'll be up the creek again.

I can't believe you guys are being so snarky about it after such a good concession speech by McCain. How different would it have gone had his whole campaign been like this. He's done a great job, and he really transcended partisan politics in a way he should've tried for more of the campaign.
He said "the failure is mine and not yours". What he really should've said is "the failure is my campaign managers' and not yours". As much as I didn't support McCain at all, I feel slightly more sad that he lost after this. I think we saw a McCain tonight that really could've won. He doesn't deserve to take the blame here - the ones that do are his campaign managers, whoever made him more partisan and confrontational, and whoever suggested Palin to him.
Big respect to him. I hope he keeps up the good work in the senate, that's all I'll say.
Obama ran a tight ship meanwhile. No surprises there. But I really am disgusted by the continued partisan sentiment here. Come on now, here's a chance for a real historical moment in the US, and you're being baselessly and tastelessly snarky. For shame.

Really? I don't think people are being any more snarky than the Democrats were in '00 and '04. Considerably less so in fact iirc.
After all somehow i doubt we'll see the GoP stealing the W's off the White House computers (or in Hillarys case trying to steal the furniture) and being law and order types, they are far less likely to go rioting in the streets because their man lost.
