Ive finished the Soviet campaign and played enough skirmish games to get to grips with all 3 sides... I would say my favorite side is the soviets followed closely by the allies. Im not keen on the empire though, just something about them :shifty:

So far i think its quite a fun game. Its not serious and has a very cartoony, over the top appeal about it. Its certainly not the best CnC game out there. I would say i prefered generals ;)

So what does everyone else think of the game? Whats your favorite side? :hmm:

I've been a fan of the Red Alert series since the very beginning. No one was looking forward to RA3 more than me. That said, I'm not sure I will be getting it. DRM issues aside, the game is rather buggy. EA has already released their third patch for the game. There are still issues with the authentication codes that ship with the game. I think patch 1.03 addresses the black screen bug a lot of people are having. I'm keeping a close eye on the game, though, to see how they address the bugs and stuff.

Yeah i had the black screen problem when the game loaded up but it seems to be fixed with the 1.2 patch

I wasn't really sure what to expect from RA3 in the beginning, after all Red Alert is one of the first strategy games I ever played. With that said though, RA3 surprised me quite a bit, mainly because I found it to be a lot of fun. I find the game play to be enjoyable, albeit fast, but that works in favor of the game. The biggest pro to me though was the music. C&C 3 had a terribly boring ambient soundtrack which I couldn't get into at all; however RA3 has a lot of great tracks (main menu theme for sure).
