Sound waves is interesting technology. SONAR which led to our modern ultrasound technology we use in the medical profession. We use sound waves to break up kidney stones. Also i think their is some weaponry being developed using sound waves. Not sure on that one though.

I know in some scifi films like DUNE and lastest hulk they used sound weapons technologies..

If they have it today there isn't a thing in the world that couldn't be smashed, bursted, blowup by soundwaves.
