I guess this means, Vista SP1 wasn't the smash hit they were hoping for:

From what I can tell it will not be much. A few improvements here and there but not too much to address the "OMGWTF IS THIS ****" aspect of Vista.

Maybe the emphasis on SP2 should be to reduce the bloatware side of things, to slim it down instead of compatability with newer tech. Fix what's broken or annoying first, them work on the other aspects of it. But hey that would be common sense, and that's lacking these days.

I'm just glad I didn't jump on the Vista bandwagon. :smug: Vista mirrors the health of many western societies. Clinically obese.

I wonder if it's even possible to streamline Vista more than a up to a certain point...basically a broken system they released. They should compensate the Vista buyers with a better OS.

Use this program when installing Vista 'Vlite' found here http://www.vlite.net/

Then this as a guide for choosing what bloatware you do not want installed.
http://www.msfn.org/board/Guide-VLite-12-RC-Compo-t121545.html

Your end up with a sleek very fast OS faster than any XP to date.

But dang, it's pretty crazy! From some "experts" I talk to say Vista is the best for gaming it holds & requires more ram.

I've also heard that the main reason people do not like Vista is because of it's security..that is the exact reason why I dislike it, I have to press the continue button everytime I run something..even a game!
