Is there any way to make the damage control more intuitive?
I've read this thread (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=109849), and I kind of get the idea of how it's supposed to work, but honestly it just doesn't seem to work appropriately. Damage control has always been the one issue that really kills SH4 for me. When I try to save my boat, the damage is almost always catastrophic and I die way too fast to do anything about it.
Does the U-Boat missions bring over the SH3 version of damage control? If so, I'd be happy. That was a damage model I could understand and instantly grasp.
I'm a big fan of GWX, I feel like even with the difficulty, SH3 was survivable if you suffered minor damage. In SH4, I feel like if you are hit, you are dead. It doesn't really matter if you try to save yourself or not - you are still going down.
