Im looking for a copy of "Knights of the Old Republic" by BioWare.

The PC (windows) version.

I have a copy of the xbox version but my xbox is kapoot.

Ive looked in the usual places ... Gamestop, Barnes & Knoble, some 'used' game places around town. Lots of the xbox version, nothing for PC.

Any leads are appreciated.

Damn still over 30 bucks :x

Guess it will have to wait.

Thanks guys... Wonder why EB and Gamestop dont list it... they have a gripe with Bioware?

These shops like the consol games only. I used to be able to sell my PC games to EB but they do not buy them any more. They will order PC games for you though. They think the money is in consols and they are not far off from that notion.

Well there is some truth to that yet they still list a plethora of other PC titles.

Yes, they will do it as an order item but when you visit the story, they seem to only stock the PC games they know will sell quickly. They will get you what you want through ordering. They will stock the fast movers. Lets put it this way, I ordered SH4 and they had it the next day. Great right? They did not stock any of the SH4 discs and I venture to guess they did not make any special orders after mine, but, you can get Halo or Biosphere right off their shelves. They trust their guys and gals at Game Informer (website and monthly magazine) as to what games will be hot. You will see that the Game Informer magazine sponsored by EB is about 98% focused on consol games. I did see once an advertisment for SH4 in Game Informer. In all reality, they have made a nice niche for themselves with sticking to consol games and trading games in for cash or other games.

A number of years ago, the EB Games store where I usually buy my games had PC games taking up 4 complete wall sections, each 4' wide and 8' high. Three of them were "New releases" where the games were spread out facing forward, and one was older but unused games turned sideways. They also had two more wall sections of used PC games. Since that time, the PC games section has shrunk to one floor display, 4' wide by 4' tall, with games on both sides. There are no games on the endcaps even, since they pile accessories like joysticks there. I find it sad that there is more space devoted to PC games in Wal-Mart than in EB.

Now, I also don't find myself browsing for games anymore either. If I want something, I call and see if they have it. If they don't, I order it online. I preorder upcoming games I really want on release and pick them up the day they hit the store.
