Does each person have an individual username and password? How do I retrieve mine? If someone says "join me on ts, my channel is teamX, 44.144.44.2:8467
password: blabb

Teamspeak fails. Why?

each server has it's own passwords or accounts (with password), you should log as a registered member only if you have an account on that particular server, otherwise you should log as a guest (with a nickname) and use the given password in the "server password" blank.
---
now, if "If someone says "join me on ts, my channel is teamX, 44.144.44.2:8467
password: blabb"
then you are supposed to place put "44.144.44.2:8467" as the adress and "blabb" as server password, not account password.

i hope i was useful :yep:

Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it

uhm, maybe you have the wrong address, the wrong password or a firewall is cutting the connection. :hmm:
Try asking the administrator of the channel for accurate instructions and also check your firewalls.

have you been able to log onto another server?
i'm sorry, i might have underestimated the issue

ps: everything seems to be on the right place on the screenshot.

That's not a password problem, it's a connection problem. If the problem is with the password you get "Bad login" or similar error.

Ok, maybe their server is off now, those liars.

AFAIK there can be 3 things when that error appears

1. Server is OFFLINE
2. Server IP is Incorrect
3. Server is suffering from a lot of traffic which makes it very dificult to connect (high PING)

when in doubt, you can always try to connect to an other server in your server list to check if your connection is O.K.

Dang, now I've messed up my GWX TS settings too :dead:

Maybe I'll set up a SUBSIM TS server, the license is only $99 for 50 people. Anyone want to guide me, how do I get this started? What is a "Slot" and how much bandwidth does TS eat up? Jimbuna, you out there?

The Server Admin of any TS room/server will be able to either reset your password or supply you the correct one.

Provided things have not changed since I was last on:

Thx Hunter

I want to join you guys in offline flying. :yep:

I have never done any online playing before and would like to give it a try.

I'll go to Helio forum and snoop around and ask some questions. :)

Sorry mate, Kratos just informed me of this thread whilst we were out at the pub last night :-?

You should have sent me an email or a PM.

I noticed you on the GWX TS server the other night....does that mean your sorted?

Send me the details of the server you are trying to access and I'll check it out for you if you like.

I wouldn't be spending good money on a licence......any small home computer should manage adequately because the bandwidth usage is minimal.
