I am looking for a specific fictional documentary about WWIII.
I saw half of it years ago and would like to see it again.
From what I can remember of it, it was made like a discovery channel documentary.
It followed from beginning to end how a war escalated until in the last scene the soviet union and the US launched there ICBM at each other. At this point the narrator said something like "and this is were history ends."
If anyone knows the name of this film or where I might find it I would be very grateful.

WORLD WAR III
This 'semi fictional' documentary is made in a clever way; at first -when you put on your tv set and the documentary has started - you think you look at a regular Discovery Channel documentary since it's made according to the same format. Then you think 'hey this isn't the way things did go?' and your suspicion towards the authenticity of the main characters (the CIA man, the German general - both are Narcissistic characters) is immediately activated.General Ripper's character we now find in Russian super general Susjkin whose main disorder paranoia is combined with narcissism (he claims to have been with the group of Russian soldiers who put their flag on the Reichstag building in WWII.) Susjkin has made career by being good and fanatic at putting down the several uprisings against Soviet power in the Eastern Block countries. He has power over the Eastern European sphere of power of the Russians and when in Berlin things get out of control and mercury's rising he takes a 'preventive' action: putting a demarcation line in the North Sea in order to prevent American supply ships coming to Europe. The American military ships pass the line, are shot down by Soviet submarines who in return are sunk by the American navy. Then Susjkin's paranoia becomes outright madness; exploding an atom bomb as a deterrent show of force; since his communication and radar system is destroyed and has become unreliable and so he doesn't know what the Americans are up to. The American missile defence system gives the president no time to think and here we have armagedon! The story is more complicated but based on much real life information. Things can spiral out of control more easy than most people wanna know….
