View Full Version : How to get a AIBoat running??

Is there anybody out there, who knows what to do to get an AIboat running? I tried to get a "German Uboat" running, which in fact is a "Uboat9" in SH4, by changing the *.sim file according to the "AIFleetboat" which is really running. But what ever I did, the boat sits on the water and does not move. I need help and appreciate each hint!!

ohhhhhhh, like, actually MOVING...hmm, not my cup of tea, but i'm sure somebody here knows...

i remember seeing a mod thread about this by miner1436

he not only made the jap subs sinkable, he also made them work with the AI to spawn and move in the game. he would be the one you need to help you. :up:

:hmm: Unless your meaning something else you should have no problem with AI uboat working in missions.

Was playing around with the editior not long ago as i wanted to create a quick simple mission pick a part of the ocean plant the Japanese Shinano carrier added some destroyers and a Uboat (IXD2) set the speed and add my sub couple of miles in front. Loaded up the mission everything worked including the Uboat. All the uboat was doing was on the surface zigzaging never saw her dive as i dont think they can?

Thanks a lot, Webster! I looked into this mod of miner1436 and did modifications accordingly to other AIs and it worked. Great Help!!:know:

To everybody, who is looking for similar things like maneuvering AI-boats:
Just when I finished my AI-boat I found out that "nautilus42" did already the AI_Uboat9D2 in a very comfortable manner. Please refer to
(REL) AI_Sub -NSS_AI_Uboat9d2_MOD-( for all SH4 Versions and MODS like TMO,RSRDC )
