:D Hi everyone!
God!!! Privateer is lucky:-?
I'm so sick and tired of installing things on my pc:nope:
I had a decent driver installed on my pc earlier ,
one month ago I think:roll:
So I removed it , and installed the latest driver "178.24"
and I was pleased . And started up my SH3 , and the game
didn't worked properly:nope: So I searched in nvidia site and
found one driver " Quadro 178.26 " , and hoped for the best.
So then ,,, I was shocked:o
You see , I was surfing in the nvidia forum , and read a couple of posts there
where a some guys in there complaining of some "Errors" inside the driver 178.13/
178.24:o So now I really don't know what to do:dead: :dead:
And I have also nHancer installed with the right settings .
The graphic is nice in the game , but there is some strange things going on when I move the mouse around , when I move the mouse down & up fast , it sort of flicking , when I moving the mouse from side to side it's also flickering
i had installed the game several timesbut nooo:stare: it's all the same.
WHAT SHALL I DO????!!!!!

If the latest drivers are being problematic, go to previous releases until you find one that suits you and your card best.

My drivers date back to 19th April 07

Try enabling Vsync ingame and in nhancer.

I had issues with 178.24 if memory serves me correctly.

I too got tired with the issues with their latest drivers at one time and rolled back to what I currently run; 175.16 with no issues.

I have these drivers still on my machine if your having issues trying to track down the download. PM me and we'll set something up to get them to you if they'll work for your GPU.

There's no rule that says you must use the latest drivers for anything.

If older drivers work fine for you then there's no reason you should throw them out for newer, buggy drivers.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! :know:

And helped me out:p
I have now downloaded and installed the driver 175.16
And I really hope it work this time:yep:
Earlier this month I had a system crash , I don't know the reason to that :dead:
But I 'm sick & tired of installing and downloading.
I only want to play this wondeful game.
And I heard that the mod GWX 3.0 is on the way:o
Is that correct ??

Yes.

Otherwise, privateer will probably have to change his identity and seek refuge in a small, South American country! :p

I have nvidia driver 163.75 that I downloaded last year when I bought my new Vista loaded Computer. I added a PNY geforce 8500 GT (512MB) card. I recently downed 178.28, but held off the install. The old driver operates well. If I try the new driver is it eay to go back to previous driver?

Yeah, all you have to do is go to the Add/Remove programs menu, and get rid of the Nvidia drivers. Then install the old one.

Very Jerry, if you go into Device Manager, ( r-click on My Computer, scroll to properties then l-click on the hardware tab and l-click on Device Manager)

l-click on the plus sign next to Display Adapter to expand, r-click on name of adapter and scroll down to Properties and then l-click on the Driver tab, then l-click on Roll back Driver, and your previous driver will be reinstalled for you.
