I have tried to update SH3 to 1.4

but it keeps coming up with an error:

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Menu\en_menu.tx t: Unknown Version

Please help!!!
Awaiting Communitcation from other Commaders.

I had this problem and it turns out that my SH3 disc (from Focus Essential) was already patched to v1.4 out of the box! Once the game has loaded and you are at the beginning screen where you can choose Naval Academy, Career, Single Missions etc. look at the bottom right hand area of the screen. If it is already patched it will say 1.4b there.

Hope this is all the problem is!

Damn.:stare: In that case I hope some else smarter than myself will be along soon to help sort this out. Just out of interest, have you tries a different site for downloading the 1.4 patch from? Gamershell.com seems to be pretty reliable to me. Heres the link:

I tried to install GWX 2.1 but it said ididnt have any files somewhere or something so it wouldn't install! LOL

I don't want to ask a silly question, but have you installed GWX 2.0 first?

Promotion is based on your total renown, so the more ships sunk, th more renown you get, the higher up the scale your rank goes!:arrgh!:
