This is my first look at the new navy uniform ... I like it so far :yep:

Any one remember the old european flat hat?

I actually had one issued to me in March 1962 in boot camp ...

What strange fascination does our military seem to have with overseas caps? Yeah i know they stow easily on your belt when indoors and that's cool, but ever since the end of WW2 they have been designed to look like a big dorky square envelope, looking, thing like we see in the op.

Not a bit the dashing and jaunty cap we see below. Why is that?

Wow. The Navy really outdid themselves this time. I was wondering how long it would take for them to finally give the sailors the optional skirts they've been asking for:p :rotfl: ;)


The USMC has also been working on new uniforms.......:D

My favorite uniform when i was in was the simple blue coveralls. On Base then it was dungarees and a ball cap.
