"This is a documentary of persuasion to make Michael Moore look like a dancing bear, and a model of primary-source outrage. Essential viewing regardless of your convictions." - Ty Burr, Boston Globe 2007

Wowh, this is a damn good documentary that I just saw on German TV, and it makes you angry again, angry about this monumental ammount of arrogance, stupidity and big mouthed military and political dilletantism that did not know **** about anything and brought destruction and misery over millions and even it'sr own people who had to carry out the amateurish orders of their political amok-runners - while these figures at home stepped in front of cameras and told lies and cyncial jokes into mikes that went at the cost of their own subordinates and enjoyed the laughter for their "brightness".

I feel strong sympathy for the disillusioned people in american service, the experts and commanders, insiders and soldiers whose good will and expertise were so shamelessly abused and whose knowledge was so blatantly made mockery of, and whose trust into their ideals about their nation was so brutally hurt. I feel irreconcilable disgust and anger for the braindead zombies, the cynical anti-intellectual stupid vacuum-heads and dilletantic political powermongers, the catch-phrase wizards and slogan-slingers responsible for this tragedy, especially EEG-flatliner Bush junior, super-cynical Rumsfeld, reality-disconnected Paul Wolfowitz, and knows-nothing-about anything Paul Bremer - and the many who hang at their lips because they made the choice to do so and were satisfied to listen to pleasing lies instead of checking reality.

Says an ex-Marine at the very end of the film, and you can see clearly his deep frustration and loss of idealism that he has suffered from:
"And you are telling me that's the best America can do? No. Don't tell me that, don't tell the Marines who fought for a month in Nadjaf there, don't tell the Marines who - who are still fighting everyday in Fallujah that that's the best America can do... That makes me angry..."
Look at that guys face - and tell me that is not a good man, and an American who not wished for the best.

Spit on you, always stupidly grinning Mr. Bush, always cynically laughing Mr. Rumsfeld, and all you other criminals in pinstripes responsible for not only having destroyed Iraq, but also having betrayed and abused your own good-willed people. Shame on you all, you enemies within.
