March 1942.
U-66
My first patrol to the Carribean. Looking forward to warm breezes, sun, a couple of boat drinks, and a bunch of unescorted tankers.

Instead I got rain, heavy seas, low visibility (most of the time), but I did get a bunch of unescorted tankers, as well as this....:D

Oh well, I guess I should have left the flip flops and sun tan oil at home.

At least you didn't look for the women, as I have already beaten you to them!:D

Got orders for U-66's 8th patrol for the exact same patrol grid-ED99, off of Port of Spain so I'm headin' back!
Got a new set of Jimmy Buffett tunes on the gramaphone, clean hawaiian shirts, bags of margarita mix, and a fresh load of eels. :sunny:

It's ok if the women are scarce-bearded men in dirty hawaiian shirts that haven't bathed in a couple of weeks aren't chick magnets. We'll make up for it when we get back to Lorient. :D
