I'm curious. What do you all think? As for the liberals we just double over laughing at the mention of her name, but what do you all think over there on the right? I mean it was cute to see the right try to pander to minorities, but it was just a teensy bit transparent don't you think?

From what I hear, she's a pretty good huntress. Even does field dressin' of her kills. Considering the s**tty choices we have for elections either way, does it really matter?

I think McCain picked her tryin' to get the "hottie, mom, used to be a model" to boost his campaign.

The other choice we have been given doesn't appeal to me, as it seems like he's tryin' to come off as the second coming of JFK. That just rubs me wrong.

Ciao Flamingboat,

I'd consider myself conservative only on my optimistic days, which are very few -- & then, that would be conservative in the "paleo-conservative" Ron Paul sense. From that perspective, not beholden to a compromised party machine, I'd have to denounce Sarah Palin as exactly the sort of faux-populist bumpkin who should be kept as far as possible from the levers of power!

Why can't we have a system in which the people who want the power most are the very ones prohibited from having it??

I am a fiscal conservative so in that since I do not see Sarah as fit to lead in a time of crisis and even if she could lead she is corrupt as they get.

She fails the test.

I, too, am a fiscal conservative and could care less about social issues such as gay marriage and abortion. Accordingly, the nominiation of Sarah Palin did nothing to further garner my support. I remain undecided in this election. I am, however, convinced that Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States, as things just look bad for the McCain campaign. I'm just not sure if I am going to vote for him.
