I like to have free stuff. I like to pay for stuff that I like and respect its property rights to a limit.:D

But when governments go behind my back and try to rewrite laws to suit the rich draconic controls over media I get pissed off.

I'm alway fighting these damb battles. Alway pushing my government to say no...

NOW here I am finding biggest nastiest possible so called Anti Counterfeiting trade agreement that will rob us our personal freedom of choice.

Does it ever stop. Can I get a break and enjoy a year with out bombard with government being hounded by their media masters for making media restricted...

Bad enough that Bell Canada is throttling internet speeds and controling what I can view on Youtube or game sites or anywhere. I can't even play on online games because I don't have solide fast connections. Some days I'm lucky to get speeds better than 36ks.

Its becoming almost as bad as in China... Only difference we're not in jail yet or working in slave camps.... But if that proposal gets passed thats whats going to happen and more.

Sick freaken evil bastards.:nope:

WHERE THE IS OUR ****EN RIGHTS ANYMORE?:stare:

You've got broadband???? Here in Australia the speed for broadband is slower than the rest of the developed world due to the sparse population and great distances (alot like Canada), but our major telco, Telstra, has a network that is based apon two tin cans and some string!
ONe of it's rivals, Optus, had to remove a plan that it had due to so many signing up to it that it's 3G network became so overloaded that people couldn't get a connection, and when they did they had speeds that looked like the speed of the early internet!

In Canada is slow too. I hate it when I see my southern friends below killing on broadband speeds... Suck royally here.

Problem in Canada mainly Quebec is Bell has monopoly on the phone lines and Videotron has control over the cable lines. So other isp's have to use the same lines to pass broadband cable or dialup. Problem is We all pay them a surecharge for using there lines ontop of the ISP charges.

Also since april Bell, Videotron and Rogers AT&T have worked a proposal accepted by the CRTC to throttle internet speeds. They claim it helps regulate to their clients the best possible continues free lines avaible.

So Other ISP companies or those who use heavy download and upload speed get tagged and regulated...

I'm suppose to get 5000Kbp/s download but actually got 1000kps/s for 8 years because I was a meter outside its boarders. Now since april I only get a fraction of that because of the high traffic rush hours and throttling.

I was downloading a patch from a major site the other day at 28kps ... took me 3 hours. what the hell is that.

Ofcourse many fought this illegal law given by the CRTC but was rejected. I heard they tried and appeal but don't know if they won?

Untill then I'm in contact with my ISP and their loosing clients fast.

Bell give premium speed to its own sympatico members and same with Videotron for cable.

Well you get the picture.

I hope satellite comes soon I'm getting tire of lan lines. I don't trust wifi yet so thats out of the question... :nope:
