For tasty prcies (reduced by one half) I have ordered today what probably will be the last two modules ever for my FS9, since my collection is complete.

On of this is the Patrouille Suisse, featuring the F-5 with appoarently a stunning virtual cockpit, and accporidng to the reviews I checked with good flight dynamics as well. See the FS9-exlcusively package here (with scenery Switzerland Pro)

I am curious for the virtual formation flying thing, but for the most I wanted my first fast-mover ever in FS. The VC was what decided it in favour of the Tiger for me, and against the Phantom and Starfighter.

the same plane, the F-5, has been redone now for FSX, and as you can see here, they have raised the level of visual detail:

If there is one thing that kills atmosphere, than to sit in the model of a fighterjet in FS - and seeing Cessna gauges on the panel. Not here. :D

Two days of flying the thing now, and it flies wonderfully. I have not tested the formation program, but the virtual cockpit is sweet and the flight model is excellent. This is the best-looking cockpit for any fighterplane in FS9, imo, and if you look for a fastmover in the FS world, this is the package to go for. Really, from inside the cockpoit, it feels extremely well, and there is much fun in flying fast and low in the Alps, or dive in and out of the cloud layer. Pure Falcon-dogfighting-feeling, just looking much better in sky, ground and weather. It is not perfect, but the small issues that are there, I can forgive, since they do not hinder the general experience.

really recommended! For 20 euros, almost a must-have.

The formation flight challenge inclusive original showprogram of the Patrouille suisse, is waiting... Very difficult, I am sure. But the plane offers what is needed in good controls and precision for that.

No replacement skins, though. Once a Swiss red arrow, always a Swiss red arrow. but okay, it hoooooshes so sweet through the sky...

If you use FS2004, do not go for the new package of the F-5E Tiger they just released, it is for FSx and also includes the FS9 version, but for FS9 it offers nothing more new than 4 additional skins. that is a little bit weak for a doubling of the price. the old FS9-Patrouille Suisse costs 20 euros.the new FSX-Tiger costs 40 Euros. The FSX version does not feature the formation flying ability.
