In the off chance anybody is intersted, I'm going to bring some movies. Pick ones that sound interesting. I'll bring the top 5. Steed's porn collection is not on the list, because there are only 10 choices, and I don't think that kinda stuff is legal in the US :)

Believe it or not, I don't have that one.

Oh, I also have The Enemy Below.:up:LOL was going to ask where that one was. I know Neal will have a copy but there is one other you've left off the list. The one and only Das Boot!!!!:o How could you? Or did you simply assume it would be on auto play on Neal's DVD player?

For anyone interested I'll bring along a couple of documentary DVD's I've got.

Sounds to me like someone needs to add an extra day to it just so you can watch movies.

I could bring the film 'Yamato' (in Japanese only)

I'm already bringing along the 4 DVD set History Channel season 1 'Dogfight' (good CGI and also includes the sinking of the Yamato and the Bismarck)

Seeing as how we'll be in Texas I'm a little suprised you haven't got 'Debbie Does Dallas' in your list

Sailor Steve
10-06-08, 10:23 AM
Don't bring Das Boot unless it's the 5-hour Uncut version.

And I didn't vote at all, because in spite of my above comment I'm not coming to a meeting with all these cool people I've been wanting to meet just so I can ignore them and watch a *%&$^# movie!

I'm not coming, and therefor not voting, but I certainly hope that you bring Holy Grail, for the sake of the chaps here on the boards.:yep:

You can get them real cheap in discount racks now, but I don't see the point. I'll never watch that version again.

I bring mine, then, no worries.:sunny:
Why? McBee has the long version, and it is much better.

I haven't seen Ice station Zebra in a looooooong time. I don't remember what it is about.

Patrick Mcgoohan plays John Drake one more time, except he calls himself 'Mr. Smith'. Ernie Borgnine is a Russian who defected and has a bad accent. Jim Brown is black but wears white cammies 'cause they're at the North Pole, and Rock Hudson has the best line ever: "We're all on a first name basis here. My first name is Captain'. MiG-17 models turn into real Phantoms and they're all looking for the film created by captured German scientists working in Britain which was in the magic camera created by captured German scientists working in America and was stolen and launched in a satellite created by captured German scientists working in Russia. The movie is actually better than the book, but that's usually the case with Alistair MacLean stuff.

Midway would be cool, but I don't have it on DVD.

All I watched was The Cruel Sea. It was the last night and everyone had either left already or gone back to their hotels. I had read the book but never watched the film, so when McBee put it on Neal's widescreen I just couldn't resist. Neal and James (USLC) had gone to sleep because James had a flight at 0600, but Jason, Dan and I stayed up and watched it.

It was worth it.
