RIP The last veteran of HMS Hood Ted Briggs who died on Saturday, BBC news has the story (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7653681.stm)
See an interview with Ted Briggs and a nice CGI representation of the sinking on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hkx-uCtjM5w)
Wow. Considering there was just three of them...
Salute. He was part of truly remarkable history.

That's too bad. I loved to hear interviews with him. How many survivors were there, wasn't it <5?

Three. The other two died in 1965 and 1995.

One of the few that really had a angel on his shoulder when during the battle with the Bismarck.
RIP.

Awww, now that's a shame, I've read a few of his accounts of the sinking of the Hood and watched the 'Dogfights' interview. He was a very lucky man.
RIP Ted Briggs
