Hello all from Australia's smallest state, Tasmania.
I picked up a copy of SHIII a couple of weeks ago and have gone through the academy stuff and had a go at a few patrols.
But a bugbear I have found, IMO, is having to micro-manage the crew. They wouldn't even think of taking a dump without me suggesting it to them. I am the Captain, surley the other officers would tell them when their shift was up etc.
Does anyone know if their some way so way so I don't have to be their wiping their backsides all the time?
Second I read in a post their was a mod where you could have crew on the decks of the ships and flying into the water when you hit them with a torp.
Could someone point me in the direction of that mod please?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard, Andrew
1) I solved crew micromanagement with SH3 Commander  and No Fatigue setting and now I have this time available for more important things ;) .
2) I dont know if such mod is needed, sometimes I see flying people after explosions near artillery posts (using GWX 2.1)

Further to the above, what you are describing is the enhanced damage effects incorporated into GWX.
Get used to the games mechanics at stock level then try GWX2.1 (available from my sig) http://www.psionguild.org/forums/images/smilies/wolfsmilies/thumbsup.gif
Welcome.
GWX adds the "flying" crewmen among other things (too numerous to mention here). If you're interested you can check out the mod here: http://thegreywolves.com/.
:damn: Jim! You beat me to it...:D

WELCOME ABOARD!:sunny:
Yes indeed, SH3 Commander lets you set the crew to 'No Fatigue', along with a wealth of other cool stuff. The fatigue problem was complained about almost as soon as the game was released, and the devs fixed it, but not in SH3. SH4 has actual watch bills and automatic shift rotations, so get ready for GWX4 in the near (or perhaps not so near) future.

TheAnalogKid: One more thing on SH3Commander - make sure you follow the instructions for the Commander files if you install GWX.
Good hunting.
