View Full Version : I don't think I'm gonna make it this time
It's September 13th 1943, I was patrolling BE38 when I received report of a large convoy in my vicinity. It was coming right at me, and I was in perfect position for attack.
They spotted my periscope just when I was getting ready to fire, and now I've got 6 DDs after me, pinging and depth-charging all over the place.
I'm at 170 meters and don't want to go deeper because I was damaged before, and I don't know the condition of my hull. It seams I'm doomed.

How bads zee damage.:hmm:
That's the problem - I don't know. I was already hit by depth-charge once, and bombed 2-3 times. None of my systems were destroyed, and the damage was minor, but I don't know in what condition the pressure hull is.

WoW how did you survive that. I wouldt go any deeper. Just be careful.;) Got any Torpedos left.:-?

I guess none of those was a direct hit. :D
Got any Torpedos left.:-? Yup, I've got plenty. It's been a lousy patrol. I sunk only 3 ships and damaged one, and I'm out there for weeks.
Despite my pessimistic predictions, I managed to escape, without serious damage. Going after the convoy again. :arrgh!:

I think I'd rather skip the 12 destroyer test. :)

Ok we can work that out, We will give you the evading battleship shells test. Should be a pice of cake, just stay at long range.
That shouldn't be a problem, as long as I have some eels ready in the tubes, and a few meters of water under the keel. :rotfl:

Try to survive 10 DD fest, in 60 deep water, hiding under a halfway sinked ship.
Now THATS a challenge! (This has actually happened to me, and I survived)
Meduza,

Wrong to underestimate the power of the Hoochie Woochie, it is.

Thank you! This time the Hoochie Woochie prevailed over the Dark side, i.e. Bernard. :D

I thought I was doing great in a similar situation, until I got this flood (word chosen carefully) of damage reports and realized that I was paying too much attention to the circling destroyers and not enough to the C3 that just ran me over. Doh.

When evading DDs, it's not advisable to remain at the periscope depth. :know:

I actually got rammed to death by merchant just because I thought I was well far away from its side.
The 2 panel comic on Humorous pic section is straight from that. Expect I had to remake it on the game since I f*cking shat bricks so hard from the sudden "SCREEEEEEEAAAAAAAARSSMMMCROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONGGGGG G"
I had my stereos quite loud
I'm at 170 meters..
Bah! Try the same in 25m!

@Meduza
I am, in fact, eminently aware of this fact now. Actually, I totally wigged out and was going to try and shoot one. :damn: Bad idea to begin with.

Never tried at 25m, but I did at 36. The outcome was tragical. :dead:
