Just lettin' y'all know I'm still alive and kicking, and back around here. Been rather busy, finally got meself a job and all. Nothing too exciting. Got a horse as well and became friend with another lady who also got a horse of the same breed (Stock Horse) and height. Discovered her husband works in the Army, I'm pretty sure he's a Captain (3 stars is a Captain... if I'm right). Too bad he ain't a submariner, lol.
Apart from job and horse, I've finally got my hands on Das Boot (the DVD, not the game) yesterday. It was a 2-DVD in one pack so I also got "Force 10 from Navarone". I have no idea if Force 10 is a good movie (it's a WWII sorta movie), ain't watched it yet. I'm trying to get my hands on Hunt for Red October. Read the book and enjoyed it.
I need to get started on "HMS Unseen" too  If it was my book, then there's no rush but since it's an library book, I want to get started on it asap  Shall have to get started on a submarine related book collection sometimes :hmm:
Any good submarine movie suggestions?
Sorry Oberon, I forgot all the ones you've recommended me apart from Crimson Tide (which I had so many opportunity to grab but never had the money at the time :damn:). I will stay away from U-571. Already own K-19 Widowmaker (seeing that submariner get his hand stuck in the pulley chain makes me go... ack, gotta hurt).
Dunno if this would be any of interest, lol. But I watched "The Putin System: KGB to Kremlin" (I think I got that title right) on SBS. I think I just now understand why my Russian friend came to Australia. And it's sorta scary to know Putin's got some control of gas going to some countries :o Oberon and I had some good discussion about Putin and Russia. So yeah, apart from that, it was a very interesting documentary.
I shall sign off before I somewhat bore half of y'all to death, lol. And return to Das Boot (just up to that part where one guy talks about his French girlfriend).
