View Full Version : Anyone seen Halsey? or Nimitz?
GWX2.1 (indian Ocean Mod)
July 1944, I had taken my brand new XXI from bergen to Rabaul after a 60 voyage. I am hoping to meet some fleet carriers. Now it's november, I have already made in 3 patrols arround Australia and the philipines I meet quite a number of merchants, tankers and troopships (sunk a number of them too).
But where are the carriers? Anyone seen them?

Are u talking about the Admirals ? They are regulars in topless bars at waikiki beach at this time. They dislike the monsun weather beginning in september.

Trust me, I had been looking.:o There had been only one report of a TF in 3 patrols. When I finally got into visual range, it's just another convoy except it had a cruiser in it along with the troop ships and tankers. The pacific had been pretty empty, hard to believe there is a war going on here...

Just because I want to send them swimming doesn't mean I want to see them topless.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

GWX didnt add too much into the Pacific as SH4 was WIP and dint want to step on UBIs toes
However there are more than a few TFs and operations scripted
The manual lists them all

I did went to Leyte gulf about the time it's invaded, except for the ocassional plane overhead, didn't see as much as a sailling boat arround the philippines. I guess even the local fisherman decide to stay home.
I don't think you will find Nimitz in the SH3, because it wasn't built until early 1970s. :D But if you're looking for Admiral Nimitz, he can be found in Honolulu, Hawaii.
I'm not sure for Halsey...

I was hoping too meet Bill Halsey or Chester Nimitz, (or MacArthur) as they swim towards my conning tower. I will give them the best possible reception. My boat have a fridge and a shower.:know: Good luck finding that on Japanese submarines.

On the golf course where you find all officers. :)
I think Nimitz and Spruance are buried at the Golden Gate Cemetary in Monterey, CA.

Actually, the Golden Gate National Cemetary is in San Bruno, CA. My town.:hmm: And Mr. Nimitz and Mr. Spruance, please do not come to my house at this hour:88), I retract my earlier statements...

The manual lists them and my Mission Orders mod or WBNN should point you in the right direction.
