hopefully im in the right place here, this Thread i also can put into the modding part, but i didnt want to spam arround there....

Ok here is my problem: i wanted to try out the VIIC/42 but when i start the patrol the game crashes with an message "wrong torpedoroom configuration"
im using GWX 2.1 and a couple of smaller mods, im not sure which mod probably crashes the VIIC/42 but hopefully somebody of you Guys know that problem and
is able to lead me to some workaround?

im using GWX 2.1 and a couple of smaller mods

Which "smaller mods"?

Are you playing a campaign or single/multi-player missions?

What I'd suggest is removing the "smaller mods", and then trying again (if not the career) then at least a LAN multiplayer game (but with just one u-boat... you!). See if the problem still exists then.

cant take a look at the exact mod list atm, because im at work.
I was just hoping that someone of you can just post me a hint in which
file i can take a look that i maybe can fix it on my own.

It might be in Basic.cfg . For example, if you have replaced the VIIC/41 or something, then this may have a knockon effect in the VIIC/42.

Are you playing a single-player campaign, single missions or multiplayer?

If it is a career, did you check your U-boat layout before sailing?

Its in a single player campaign and yes i was changing the u-boat configuration,
(changed the FuMo added flottilla emblem) Basic.cfg is a good point,
maybe i messed it up i was playing arround in that file :P

But i think i have a backup this time :ping:

lol ok i found my bug.
I have modified the basic.cfg that i can use the VIIC/42 one year earlier.
but my fault was that i just changed the start date, not the submarien configuration.
Now im not only a cheater, im offially a dumb cheater *g*
