I cloned my SH-III folder yesterday to install the s-Boot mod, but somehow the exact copy of my GWX-SH3 refuses to work, crashing with the simdata.dll error you normally get when loading a corrupt save
i can't find any reason why it would do that...
has anybody any idea why the hell this doesn't work?
Simdata usually campaign or ship error
Are you trying to start sboot career in GWX ?

i can't even get into the game.... after copying it just loads the startup screen up to 90-100% then says simdata....
i've tracked down the error into the Sea folder after replacing it it worked one time then crashed again with the same error :(

solved the problem: obviously Sh3 Commander createst a file called SS-S100.cfg in your roster/germany/submarine folder, if you enter a custom # for your boat
SH-3 didn't like that and crashed :-D

Glad its sorted
Best to make sure you roll back commander before carrying out anything as you did
I use the auto rollback feature

i use auto roll back as well ;)
the problem is, that when you start a new career using SH3Commander, it will create this file, making it impossible to get into the game...
after deleting the file and not setting a custom boat number it works because SH3cmdr won't try to create a file where it saves the boat number since then its chosen by SH3 ;)

Hmmm most odd
Which version of SH3commander do you use ?
I think the S100 cfg doesnt come from commander though
