Hi everyone.
I have a little problem.
I`ve started patrol from St. Nazaire and after month of swimming I decided to break thrue the Gibraltar pass and go to Salamis. But when i arrived there i can`t change the flotilla because the desk in the briefingroom is unactive . Does anyone know how to do this? Or do i have to go back to St. Nazaire and there make a transfer?:-?:)
Welcome aboard!
Yes, I guess you have to go back to your home base in order to apply for transfer. good luck! :D

Oh bugger, whole Mediterranean and Gibraltar again:D, Well wish me good luck and thanks for the help!
Welcome aboard! :D
Yes! You get to do it twice--never a dull moment, eh? :rotfl: :rotfl: (you don't get much sympathy here).
If you are playing GWX, you may have to activate the Med. Someone will be here and tell you how to do it.

Welcome aboard and good luck on your new base :)
Im wanting to transfer to the Med as well, but as I understand it (in GWX) you only get actual orders to go through Gilbralter if you're in U-96?
In any other boat, if you transfer from your home base you're basically teleported to the new base in the med, meaning you dont actually get to "try" and sneak through Gibralter?
Right?
So how do you get U-96, sign up with the 7th in 1940 or 41 and keep re-trying untill the boat you get is U-96?

I don't think you ever get the orders to transfer to the Med. You'll have to apply for transfer, and you'll be "teleported" there.
I hope you didn't get the idea that you have to have a U-96 from a stupid joke I made about it some time ago?

Well now I know who said it....
No worries, when I first read it I though it must be a joke and then somewhere along the line I thought, maybe its true... Thanks for clarifying that, oh and Im the one that should feel silly now
Too bad we cant actually transit to new bases though, Im guessing its a stock SH3 issue that cant be changed.

Yup, it was me... :-?

No need to feel silly at all ;)

For some time, I was actually convinced that you do have to transit, but than I proved to myself otherwise.
Same thing for the Pacific, I took my IXB there once, have to return to Lorient by myself (I need to replace some lost crew and upgrade my boat). the grand tour took 11 months.
What SH3 should have done: A captain have to pilot his boat into the home base of another flottilla, apply for transfer while in that port.

If your flotilla base is changed by BDU (which does happen sometimes) then you have to manually transit to the new base. But if you're in an atlantic base, I think you always get "transferred" to another atlantic base, and never to the med? :hmm:
