Sorry but I think I got confused by this title :-? Is this the same game as T34 vs. Tiger, or is it a different one? It comes from the same publisher so it would seem logic that "Steel Fury: Kharkov 1942" is now the definitive commercial name for the former T34 vs. Tiger project. But in their web both are listed as different things:

Why would the same publisher have two such similar sims at a time  ?

Looking at the screenshots and System requirements they are different games.

the game I looking forward to is T-34 vs Tiger.

So they are different in fact :hmm:

And which one is predicted to be the best? Is one of them arcade like or are both pretended to be sims?

I am guessing that T-34 v Tiger will be more simulation. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

From what we learned over the past 12 months, that assumption probably is correct.

Well if I have access to them here, I will buy both unless I see a review that really puts one down :hmm:

Typical Russian way of developing two almost identical games simultaneously but I think Streel Fury is the one I look forward more, cause it will be more of a simulation.

TIP: if you have broadband look up youtube videos from Steel Fury and you'll see why this is something to drool over.

IMO, based on playing both previews... SF is more of a full battlefield simulation, while WW2 Battle Tanks is less of a sim but still a great game.

WW2 BT is the only one with MP, SF is SP only.

Both have mission editors.

Well, I would be the first to be happy to admit that my report on my first impression on the basis of their demo has been wrong, since the game has advanced so much beyond the status of that demo. I have deleted TvT from my list, but still have not given up on SF completely. Nevertheless I will wait for the release with a peaceful and neutral mind and wait for forum feedback and support feedback before making a decision wether to buy or not.

If it really is that much beyond the demo, it certainly is worth to give it a second chance.

And it's extremely positive. Everyone go and have a look.

This might be the first tanksim that I will ever buy.

I have a question about the game, maybe one of the people involved with Steel Fury reads this.

My native language is german, but I prefer to play games in the most original language. Usually I buy the English versions, because in most cases they are much better than the german ones. For a game like Silent Hunter III, however, I got the german one, because it plays on a german uboat. And one of my most unforgettable gaming experiences was when I found out Shogun Total Shogun Total War offered Japanese voiceovers.

With Steel fury, I wonder which (language) version I should get? Will it be possible to hear Russian voices and / or German ones in ONE version? Would it also be possible to get the user interface in Russian and German in the same version?

I hope it's clear what I am talking about here: I would like to see a version that includes ALL relevant language versions, i.e. Russian and German for the current version, maybe English if British/American missions are added later.

P.S. I can read kyrillic, and though my russian sucks, I would find it VERY fitting to command a T-34 with a russian UI!

Remember: This is from a Beta press release build and is/was still work in progress and subject to change. At the time this build does not support AA, so their are ugly zaggies.

Some good shots in there, thank you for updating us.

After the old demo, I am still in neutral stand-by mode and stick with my great love, SBP , but still have not given up on Steel Fury completely. If the feedback for SF is more convincing than what to read about TvT in their forum, I eventually will consider to get it nevertheless.
You never can have enough steel in your parking lot. :sunny:
